About Us
About 9 years ago, Terry and Peg Hilliard, (here after referred
to as we), decided after many years of being without the great
riding experience, we would get back into the touring we missed so
much.
The first year out, we loaded the bike with everything to camp.
With the tour pack top heavy, saddle bags in doubles, and our tent
tied in a bungee cord puzzle, off we rode. I still look at those
pictures and laugh. The second year out we bought our first
trailer, it was a beauty, fiber glass, low profile, white and black
to match our bike, right up town. The third year out we sold the
fiber glass trailer and built our own.
An idea was born, not in a moment, but over the next 3 years.
Terry, Charles Mann (his brother-in-law), and Thomas Baxter, (a
good friend), designed, re-designed, and road tested the 24
MotoSport Trailer. At the time all they wanted was a trailer that
maneuvered easy and was efficient for hauling camping gear; nothing
was ever mentioned about the possibility of selling them. We did
have people ask where we bought these trailers; the guys would just
say "We built them". Every year we trailer, it just gets better
and more fun. To date, we have biked pulling a trailer over 30+
States and Canada covering all kinds of terrain. We love just
being out there meeting people, feeling the sun, the wind, and the
freedom that only a motorcycle can give you.
After years of pulling the same trailer that we first built, our
brother and sister, now partners, (Ted and Connie Goodrich of
Bonita Springs, Florida) were visiting and began asking questions
about the trailer and the foot pegs. Connie, a photographer,
grabbed her camera and started snapping pictures, Ted started brain
storming on a yellow legal pad, thus TNT began. Ted and Connie
have had a family owned business for many years (Ted's Shed's) and
believe in good products, new ideas, sound work ethics and above
all else, satisfied customers.
Well, the rest is still an ongoing adventure yet to unfold.
Hope this gives you a little insight as to who is behind the TNT
logo.
